Still doing what I said I’ll do. Just don’t need to make the list every night. Probably a good sign! I will do that again when a new month starts, with its new habits. I plan to add one habit and one “sink” every month. I know what June’s will be: doing some “home blessing” every day is the habit, and the sofa is the sink. And it wouldn’t be too hard, because they will be habits. And I don’t have to make everything perfect all at once. Or at all. Baby steps, practice makes progress.
(The insect with sometimes-colorful wings was not mentioned in this entry, with good reason. If someone mentions it again, I swear I will irresponsibly hit my caps-lock key. Beware.)

Only without the loving myself part, hehe.
Right-ho.
Dishwasher. Machinetta. Cabinet. Table. Floor. Ten things. Changing the sheets.
Am I forgetting anything?..
Mission – something about the nightstand or what. I don’t have one really.

And no, it’s not that my routines are too much. I can’t have that. It’s two days with the kids at home, and they on bad moods much of the time (I’m a rotten mother), and the mess they make and for some reason can’t see how fun it is to clean up, yeay!, and me not quite well yet.
Yesterday we came home late after a family get together, and I was proud of myself for having made sure that the house was looking all right and some of the routines done. I just went straight to bed. But today I will do it all. Some of it is already done, by the way.
And my ex-husband is driving me insane, but that’s an off topic I guess.
I’ll do it in fifteen minutes sessions.
Dishwasher machinetta sink table floor ten things closet mission bedroom blah.
This fifteen-minutes thing is magic. So much gets done in a session!
I decided to add the kitchen cabinets to the round with the closets. Not much decluttering there, but I have to wipe the inside off every once in a while.

Do you know what I did for mission today?
You don’t, so let me tell you.
I had to pull out things from under my bed. Now, I don’t keep things under my bed. Sometimes they fall down there, but they don’t stay there long. There were two things there, both from yesterday.
So then I took the broom that my kids had broken, and I crawled under the bed and swept the floor. There was hardly any room for me there. Wait, that’s not all.
I then took a dump floor rag and crawled again, and I cleaned the floor. It can’t have been very thorough, but hey: I was sleeping over piles of dust there, and I won’t tonight.

Still sick, again the house is a mess. Now there are also lots of dirty dishes because I cooked for lunch and cooked for supper. There’s a dishwasher running now, and one to go. I will keep all the kitchen work for to later when the dishwasher stops and I can load it again, because it’s hard to do any work in there when the sink is full. Also I need to at least sweep some of the floor – the kids wanted to help me peel potatoes. I have to admit they did a great job, but the floor, hm. I pat myself of the shoulder, though, for not being cross with them for that, I thanked them and told them what a great job they did.
I have to look into this house blessing thing. It means – for you non-flybabies – weekly cleaning. I never manage to do it Friday morning, and then either the kids are here and it seems like such a waste to clean while they are making more mess… or I go over to my boyfriend’s. In two weeks I start the new job, I will have to find another time to do this! I’m thinking maybe to do some every day instead of all at once. But then I will have, what? Sinks, closet, ten-things, mission, blessing?.. Can I keep it up?..
I can at least try. But I will start on June, with the job, one habit a month, right? For now, I’ll simply do it tomorrow morning.
Table, floor, ten things, closet, dishwasher, machinetta, go.

(Of course not!)
I don’t seem to get any better. Now my throat is killing me. And the house is messier than usually, because we were home all day. But I tried to keep it under conrtrol, and I have to say, my house looks today like it used to look in the end of a standard day just a couple of weeks ago. That’s an encouragement. Also, I gave myself a headstart by already cleaning the living room table and washing the machinetta. Today’s mission is to mop the bathroom floor, but I mop the whole house as part of my “weekly home blessing” which I will do, um, tomorrow or the day after. So that gives me, let’s see…
Dishwasher, floor, ten things, closet.
