1. I don’t mind when it’s hard.
I used to hate it when it was hard. I hated when it was hot, and so ran only late in the evening. As a result I was dependent on when my ex-husband took the kids, which he sometimes doesn’t. I hated running up hill and hated running on deep, dry sand, and so ran around the block on hard asphalt, knowning that it was not good for me – until my knees let me know I shouldn’t. Also, every now and again it would just be hard, no specific reason, and I hated it. Because of my knees, I went back to the field with the hills and ankle-deep sand, and I don’t mind it anymore. I enjoy the difficulty. I love it!
2. I run 4-6 times a week.
Because I don’t mind running in the morning anymore, I can run almost every day, and have been doing that for a couple of months.
3. I can run very long.
For the same reason, I just don’t feel the urge to cut it short anymore, almost never; on the contrary, when I turn to run back I often feel I would have liked to continue farther. Running 10k once a week used to be my distant goal – now I can run 10k when ever I have time. Time is an issue, because I’m a slow runner, 10k take over an hour. But the point is, when I do have over an hour, I can run it, I want to run it and I like to run it. Up hill. In ankle-deep sand. I’m very smug about it! Hate me?

I’ve completely changed my attitude: I go out and do as much as I can that day. Some days I can only manage 3k, and that’s fine. No, that’s good. Then on other days I will want to much more, and then it’s great.
I run in a field now, that’s very sandy and very difficult. But I’ve learned to enjoy that, too!
I haven’t run at all for a couple of weeks, and it’s hard to get back on track, but I plan to – now that I’m unemployed… Here is my six weeks’ plan (in rounds – each round is 1.5k):
S M T W T F S0- -20- 2 -02- -02- -32- 3 -2 3 0 (must rest on the Shabbath, yes?) (I did 3 on Thursday)3 4 3 4 3 4 0
4 5 4 5 4 4 0 (establishing 4 rounds, which are 6k, as my new minimum, and I don’t have to run the maximum three ties a week anymore).
4 6 4 5 4 4 0
4 7 4 6 4 4 0 (Target reached – 10k once a week).
It’s been pretty hard to do the 3k, but I know it’ll get better. I’m goinfg to run a 3k again today.
On weekdays I ran 3k, and on the weekend, 4.5k. I’m pleased, it’s what I can do at the moment. On January!
I try to run every other day, and only those 3k. I really want to go back to my old training schedule, the one before the two jobs, but I don’t have time right now. On January, when I will have quit, I will start again. My target will be 5 times a week again, at least 6k every time (except when I don’t have time, then I will prefer 3k to nothing), and 10k at least once a week.
Two rounds, it felt great, I would have done more but I needed to get some sleep too.
I was dead tired, but decided to go and try even two rounds.
First, it started dripping, I didn’t mind at all.
Second, it started raining moderately, but I was feeling so good I decided to go on.
Third, it started raining cats and dogs, I decided to complete the round, maybe it will stop and then I’ll continue.
Fourth, it started raining cows and horses and small sized elephants, I couldn’t see anything through my glasses, I finished the first round and came home soaking.
Ggg.
Adn for a while, I know I will have to be less ambitious. Three times a week will be fine for now.
