After blogging in my journal related to this … I realized I should officially make it a goal.

This does not mean I want to BE the man himself. I just want to achieve what he’s achieved in a certain sense. Stephen King appears to have a nice family and a nice life, after having had a challenging childhood. He writes things that people in high-minded literary circles don’t want to admit they like or respect but which they DO like and pretend not to respect. Despite writing in a “trash” genre, he is one of the best selling authors of all time (read: one of the most heard untraditional voices). He is famous, but largely invisible. He appears dorky and intelligent, and darkly kind and intriguing.”
