get my passport

I need to just do it already!

but get this, my boyfriend, mr. i don’t operate like you do w/ your list of things to do . . . he got his! Anyway, one of these days. Definitely before the end of the year though.

There is something to getting things done and getting them off of your list that is very motivating. It is contagious! You accomplish one thing and the next thing you know, you are doing/finishing something else! It is quite type amazing! So maybe this will be the thing I will do next. I got an idea from another 43t-er to take a photo w/ a digital camera. The thing is I don’t own one, but there is one at work. Hmm . . . now I am cooking w/ gas. I will keep you posted on my progress.

I can definitely do this. Looking at the app it looks that if you did not have a license you could not do it alone. You would have to find someone w/ a license to vouch for you. They did not accept learning permits as valid ID.

So I now have my license to drive (April 5, 2008) and so I can now complete this. I don’t have the money to do it now, so maybe next month.

I found an old passport form that I filled out in 2002. I had the check in there and everything the hold up, then, as it is now, that I need to get passport photos done. Back then the rate was sixty something dollars. I had another one completed and at that time the cost was 97, now effective the 1st of Feb it is up to 100 bucks. But as I looked further, it seems that since I do not have a license I would have to get someone to vouch for me. This person would need to know me for at least 2 years and would need to have all of the required info. Can you believe that? I have my learner permit, but that is not an accepted form to proved identity. I mean, how crazy is that? I would have my mom or sister or dad vouch for me, but they are back in NY. My boyfriend is in the same boat, so that is out. I have other friends, but I don’t feel comfortable with that, so it means that I must hurry and get the damn license.

Go figure!

at the end of the month. I have had the application complete for eons, it is the photos that is causing the delay. At the end of the month I will get paid and I will go ahead and go to the passport agency near my job and get this done lickety split. It is funny because this was something I had mentioned to my boyfriend that I wanted to have completed by the end of 2007 . . . and now all of a sudden he is all gung ho to get his passport too! Hey, at least we can travel abroad together! I just thought it was funny that all of a sudden he was so interested in getting it.

Weird motivation, but motivation none the less. Now I want to get mine first since it was my idea first…you know?
