Paint, decorate, and move into my new place

I actually ended up moving into a different place than the condo I bought (long story). However, I have been living with an air mattress as a couch, and the absolute minimum living ‘things’. It has been fun, and kind of refreshing, but now I’m ready to furnish and decorate. I have started looking and deciding on things I want for the bathroom and living room, and will start the process of buying next week. I’ll take some before and after pictures as I progress slowly into the world of new decor. This is the first time in my adult life that I am starting fresh, and buying the things I really like, instead of stuff from garage sales and IKEA. I’m pretty excited. I plan to stretch the process over the next few months or longer, so I end up with the vision and comfort I’m looking for.

I bought into my condo complex before they broke ground on the project. Now, over a year and a half later, it is just about finished. I do my final walkthrough next week, then close soon after, and will hopefully be moved in the first week in February.

I have spent the last few weeks formulating a base decorating plan. I have perused paint stores, furniture shops, and much much more. I have the start of what I want it to look and feel like, and am sure that as I work to put it together over the next six months or so, all the fine little details will fall into place, and I will have my first home that reflects me. It’s pretty darned exciting. Posted above is a picture of my kitchen.
