It's easy to stop procrastinating ...  — 2 years ago

Stop thinking about it! Think about what you have to do and get on with it. If in doubt don’t set any plans just start moving taking action. Least then your not at risk of procrastinating. Stop talking about it and do it, it’s not hard to do! Why i’m making such a drama out of it i don’t know! I need to get some will-power to follow through..>That’s what my new goal will be develop my will-power! This is a much more positive signal to my brain. I’m being pro-active and not contradicting myself by saying focus on not doing something. I’m saying focus on using my willpower! Much more productive!!

Again! Why Focus on what you want to stop doing!  — 2 years ago

This isn’t motivating at all! The best goal i could set is one that says * take action* this tells my brain to focus on what i want, doing things. Currently as the goal stands. I say stop procrastinating, and what does my brain think about doing….YOU guessed it! PROCRASTINATION!

So the new goal i’m going to set is Take Positive action Daily towards my goals”! This is a much better more inspiring signal to my brain….

Anthony robbins: WHAT you FOCUS on is what you become, the direction that you will go! If you are driving into a brick wall and don’t want to hit it, have faith , grab the steering wheel and turn your focus in the opposite direction! This is how racing drivers survive crashes so easily, because they know the minute they put there focus on the wall, thats where the brain thinks it has to go…they know that they have to take that focus to where they want to go, back to the track, no matter how scary it may seem!

Seems to me i should make sure that all my goals on my list are uplifting, pro-active and inspiring!! Focus on what i want.

It only takes a single thought to move the world.

There is one things i don't ever procrastinate!  — 2 years ago

Jumped out of bed at 8:30am today!!  — 2 years ago

Got straight on with getting up and dressed. Did my morning tarot ritual- spiritual development, watched charmed, considered going to this sales job i got, then decided i would stick to my guns and find something today that i actually enjoy. I have a couple of people calling me today about jobs, so hopefully something will come up. Got my order sorted out for valentines day and my friend a present for her birthday sorted out. Things are on the up i’m about to do my morning meditation. Start a Tarot Journal to enhance my spiritual development. Do some Stable management directive study and play sims before i go watch neighbours this afternoon & doctors. After this is will do some personal development, cashflow stratergy, more job applications, as i have already done this morning on reed & put my washing on. I need to update my blog then get to work on my 43 things goals! Hopefully today will go to plan! Work is 6:30pm to 10pm at the local shop, which i always enjoy. Then i’ll write my journal entry this evening before planning tommorow, reading then going to bed. Need to find some decent planning software today that’s free. See if i can get things a little more orderly.

Good god i procrastinated again today!  — 2 years ago

Think of this on a positive note! If i can procrastinate so easily maybe i should use it to my advantage! I guess i could procrastinate my procrastination!!!!

I’m going to do some research tonight on ways to deal with procrastination.

I know my Tony Robbins book unlimited power deals with this. Even so reading isn’t doing what i need to do! I actually need to step out of the door, go to the restaurant and ask for a job.

I use the excuse that i will do it when i feel better or when i am more prepared, but if i just got it over with then i wouldn’t have this procrastination problem!

Guess i need to find motivating reasons that are enough to get me out of that door and down to that restaurant today, rather than in three days time. I suppose i can look at the benifits financially and the negatives of staying in.

Working on this!!!

Yikes i'm really commiting myself here aren't i!  — 2 years ago

I’m an amazing procrastinator! It comes because of my perfection frame. I can’t take action until i feel ready and i need things to be perfect when i do! What i need to learn to do is to take action no matter what and accept that sometimes things will go to plan, and sometimes things won’t, and not be disheartened by things that don’t. I need to go for something as if i have nothing to lose. At the end of the day if i don’t do it, it’s like it never existed, so everything is worth trying even without the 110% perfectionist frame i have. The best thing i could do is get all my tasks out of the way before 2pm. That way i have the rest of the day to relax and do whatever i need to in order to feel happy, and i will feel and added sense of confidence in myself for the action i have taken instead of put off. I shouldn’t take life so seriously! I should lighten up and not see everything as all or nothing and i not expect everything in my life to be just so. I should stop preparing to do and do!! Even if i feel unprepared! I’ll only know if i was or not by taking action! Again wish me luck on this! I procrastinate alot!
