BBC’s ‘Catchphrase’ program is the best way I’ve found to learn a language, and it just happens to be Welsh. Listen to the program with the Lloyds; there’s a story to follow, keeping it interesting, but you also pick up on day to day Welsh very quickly.
Catchphrase 2002 is only availible in Realplayer format, so it can’t be transfered to a disk or portable music player (the only negative thing about it), but each lesson is only a half hour long, so it’s not too tedious to listen to on your computer. Older versions of this program are availible on the same site, and are availible in mp3 format, but they don’t have a story to follow, so I don’t find them as helpful.
If you like the Catchphrase program as well, PLEASE email BBC and let them know that the people want the newer version in mp3 format!
