list three things every day that made me happy

1. Will spent the night with his cousins and I was so happy to have him home in the morning. His little smile makes me happy

2. We bought a new tv. Now if only we had living room to put it in

3. It looks like actual progress has been made on our bathroom. It still looks nothing like a bathroom but changes have been made!

1. We headed to Todd’s mom’s for breakfast with her and one of his brothers and wife. So, we got to visit with them

2. Everyone got along for Thanksgiving. My favorite part of the meal this year were the snacks beforehand. We brought some chestnuts from Todd’s mom and there was a homemade cheeseball and also those cheese-stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto. Yum

3. We came home and lolled about on the couch, unable to focus and finally got in bed with our books and an old episode of “Supernatural” that was very good

Happy Thanksgiving!

1. I am so happy for my sister Sarah. And my mother listened

2. The weather was overcast but not so cold and no rain

3. We went to the new restaurant in town for dinner. There were so many people there. It was nice to see and speak with so many friends and to see the place busy

1. Like I said, I don’t like to paint, but every little bit of any work is one step closer to a finished home

2. I felt better after the dentist

3. My mom made a good salad

4. Starting a new book

1. Though my plans to prime the whole back bedroom were derailed, it was good to get the whole thing cleaned. I’m assuming some teenager was in that room. The entire ceiling was covered in squares of old tape still gummed to the plaster. Also, blobs of what looked like wax and the whole thing was black with soot. But now it’s ready to paint

2. I finished painting, removing tape and cleaning, came home and took a shower and then walked over to meet the bus

3. Reading with Sophie and Will. They are good readers and they enjoy it. Sophie read us a story about a genie she wrote at school

1. Singing in church

2. Painting. Not. God, I hate painting but it is a big step in the right direction and I like feeling like I’m getting something done. And even though my sister kept declaring how much she hates painting, too, she still stayed and helped me do it

3. Waiting for pizza

1. Though I woke up with a killer headache and thought I would not be able to function all day, I was completely recovered by 10 or so

2. Plugging away on any and everything at our house

3. Movie and popcorn night

1. Shopped for the party, painted in my house, took Sophie to dance, put her and Will to bed…

2. Yummy-good food at the party. Sarah and I made twice-baked new potatoes with shrimp and also goat cheese stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto. The cocktail was pomegranate margarita and Jodi made them waaaay too big

3. The party was silly and fun

1. I did a little stretching yoga to loosen up from the day before. Aaah…

2. We went to the Mexican restaurant with Sarah and Jodi. The kids were all pretty good and the salsa was good!

3. We watched some tivo and still got to bed early

1. My sister and I took a long walk and then did yoga. Ouch

2. Finally chose some tile for the bathroom. Didn’t order it, but we chose it. Jeez

3. Three episodes of “Ghost Hunters”
