Mail 12 letters to 12 people I love this year

Last year, with the stress of moving away from home and making new friends threatened to sway me, I always had one girl in particular who was going through the exact same thing that I could always turn to. I visited Sophia at Macmaster twice, and met up a couple more times, and each reunion was exactly what I needed. Sophia is like my second sister, and I’m so grateful for her love and support. Now that I’m settled into my second year, and not having the time to visit, I hope my letter conveys how much she means to me <3

My first letter at my new university apartment address arrived, and it came in an adorable Hello Kitty envelope from one of my amazing cousins! It was short and sweet and reminded me that home is never too far away, if only you keep an effort to stay in touch. I made the steps by walking to Walmart for stationary, the convenience store for stamps and the campus mailbox to mail a letter back to her. I love family <3

How delightful it is to be on the receiving end of a 4 page long letter! I had asked my other roomate to tell me more about her 3 week stay in Australia, and she more than delivered. Finding her letter in the mailbox felt like Christmas morning, and I hope my response brought her as much happiness too!

I was lucky enough to receive a postcard from my roomate while she was on vacation in British Columbia! It was short and sweet (a lot like her in fact) but she suggested that I give the province a chance and see it for myself one day. Good advice :D
I replied with a postcard of my own, just filling her in on my summer. I’m so glad we made the effort to keep in touch over the break, it makes me that much more excited for September!

My big sis is going to Europe and I couldn’t be more excited for her! One day I really hope that we go on a crazy world-wide adventure, but writing a goodbye and good luck letter will have to suffice for now. Love you <3

Well, it turned out being more of a Get Well Soon card. But i figure after a paragraph it’s encroaching on letter distinction, so I’ll count it. Unfortunately, I didn’t want to write a Get Well card to Michelle, but hopefully her surgery goes well and it brings a smile to her face!
