I have been better about this lately because we will probably be moving in 2009 to San Antonio. So far we have driven 6+ hours (w/a baby too) to see my husbands family twice in 3 day vacations. I have gone to see my Goddaughter & her mom-a 3 hour distance and on the way back seen my sister.
Future family/friend trips & plans:
Labor Day week: my dad’s family in IL for the week
Wknd to MD to visit a friend & her little girl
Wknd in Oct: my grandma’s surprise 85th birthday party all family from NY will be there!!!
October zoo trip w/gf & her daughter
Wknd in Oct: to see my Goddaughter & BF again
And we are thinking of visiting PA again for Thanksgiving
Jen’s annual Christmas party where all us college gals get together
12/23 my son’s 1st Birthday party will bring family & friends to visit
I have really been making strides to travel & see my family/friends more often! The first step to this is just picking the date. After that…the rest just falls in place!
PS One of my college gf’s came over tonight. She’s got 2 jobs & I’m so thankful she made the time to visit! It’s good to finally have friends that I’ve got some history with. That knew the college me & now knows the married, mom me. There were a few years where I didn’t really have any friends because the only thing I did was work & school.
