I think I’ve identified a lot of things that make me happy so far, but let’s try to get it all together here:
1. sunny days
(It’s terrible, but I actually do have a terrible weather-dependency!) planning to work on that: daily walk/jog outside should cure me of that, no?
2. interesting & exciting people
especially if they are full of energy, & if I’m full of energy too
3. exploring new areas online – 43things or LVJ – interesting communities or individuals, Naturalliving or other eco tips, organizing tips, or whatever….
4. connecting with people online – in weird & wonderful ways… ;))
5. reading a really good novel – think Amanda Quick or Jennifer Cruise, or Gaby Hauptmann, or whatever funky & fun!
6. going to the library – sometimes my most ‘sociable’ thing I did whole week, now that I had back problems… lol I actually like most people who work there, & have fun exploring amongst the piles of books for whichever I’d find a new fun Universe in
(so having enough time to do that unrushed is crucial! which brings us to the importance of who actually goes with me! Sis has had the tendency to go crazy waiting for me! ;) )
DISCOVERING A FUNKY NEW BOOK or AUTHOR!!
7. chatting with friends. Real life preferred. Although sometimes the phone is quite fun too! (But boundaries must be made!)
8. getting things done ;))
Yes, that one actually works miracles!!
9. decluttering!!
Ahh the amazing feeling when everything is orderly & in its place again!
10. getting gorgeous!! ;) lol
It’s easy to feel ugly if one sits around in pyjamas or sweatpants all day – but to actually dress up & go somewhere works miracles sometimes!! ;)
11. going to poetry readings or literature events
12. going to a party
13. freshly squeezed juice, carrots, apples and beetroot – Yummy!!
14. meeting up old friends & doing something funky
15. going dancing
16. eating, especially if it’s something good & healthy!!
17. writing, when it flows
18. finishing old short stories, or making old songs ‘work’
19. singing my heart out
20. if other people actually like my songs & memorise lines & cite them as mottoes ;)) lol
21. inspirational people that make the Universe expand with possibilities (my friend Lenny rocks at this one too!)
22. expanding other people’s horizons & helping them achieve their goals & actually making them feel better!!
(again, balance must be achieved here too)
23. EFT & TAT, and/or journalling & de-negativizing
24. fresh sheets
25. apples & oates ;) Oh, n bananas! & strawberries!
& homemade ice cream!! Yum!!
26. Desperate Housewives ;)) Heroes, Ugly Betty, VIVA TV, American or Canadian Model, and occasional silly German talk shows or house-making or furniture-making shows!!
27. putting up beautiful pictures up my walls
28. having free Sunday afternoon ;)) &/or mornings to spend as I wish & PC & the house all to myself!!
29. cats (black ones especially)
30. learning new things, useful ones especially
