Record an album

At least I’ve sorta chosen the songs I wish to record at the friend’s home cooking recording studio… At least those I wish to record first.

I still don’t know all of them by heart, or play them all well, but at least there’s a narrowed choice.. Such relief..
I do think I oughtta do some of the funnier ones too, but I just haven’t been in the mood recently…

I started a silly one about Santa today, but it’s not finished yet ;) /hm, do I still remember the melody at all?/

I want to record my demos proper, but I’ll not go for a proper ‘album’ right now – so I’ll take it off the list for the time being!!

I went to a friend’s concert, & another friend said I could record in his (home)studio. (After his wife & the other friend already invited me to, lol)
Amy said she would kick my butt if I didn’t.

I feel weird about recording with other people’s microphones, or in other people’s flats… I feel weird about recording right now, period. (Except on my old cassette recorder, very low-tech.) & I really haaate tuning my guitar. What does everyone here use?
I do have a bunch of songs, but not quite sure what to do with them…

Also, a composer friend contacted me this week again, they need lyrics badly..
I’m not sure I can write from music up, but I’ll try.

Must be the ‘merry December’ approaching… ;)

Another friend gave me a few names of composers/arrangers & a few hints & most of all, enthusiasm & encouragement.
She said the key is to ‘bug them’ (so they don’t think you’re not committed). I was always expecting others to bug me, so that may have been the secret to failure in communication with CF. I decided it might be good to give him another chance, & very soon he called me. Funny how the Universe works.
