hmm.. how to improve on this??!! 16 months ago

Okay, so not much progress with this one. Quite the opposite lol

I’ve been staying up too late & getting up too late too.. :)

On some (sunny!) days I did make some huge progress, though. :)
Like, I set the intention in the evening (after reading the LoA book) ‘I relax & wake up feeling refreshed & full of energy & feeling good’ – & on some days (the two immediately after reading this! lol) I actually did!! (hm, maybe I need to reread the book? lol) Or write out the notes/most significant stuff..
It also worked if I set out the intention of ‘joie de vivre’ for the day.. (on those mentioned sunny days)
I leisurely woke up & wrote down my goals/’braindump’ for the day… Or ‘articles’ planned etc.

The main issue seemd to be if I didn’t wake up & come downstairs at the right time, my parents got in a really bad mood & yelled upstairs.. & this really set me in a negative spiral… (I mean, why do they need to yell? I really hate the yelling, especially if being done in a bad mood) So I need to come up with ideas to counter that.. (I already told them & it helped a bit.. but still.. they just think everyone should wake up & get up early, & there’s no going arund this..)
Of course ‘wake up earlier’ is the most obvious one.. But the rebel/obstinate person in me (& late night owl) just ‘doesn’t wanna’. hm?!!



Just keeping track... 20 months ago

I prepped the leafy greens for salad in the afternoon already, so I don’t have to do it tomorrow morning right after breakfast… – That does count as part of a better routine, right?;)

Must confess today I just read a book after breakfast… Helped survive a rainy day though it wasn’t a most productive use of time…
As for journalling, somehow I find it easier done later on, when I’ve eaten already… (especially after lunch or so…)



Improvements needed!! 21 months ago

today & yesterday (I think) I woke up feeling good… (maybe because of sunshine & tuna ingested previous day?)

I, however, found I had nothing significant to do, so I fell asleep during my back exercises quite cheerily.

So, must make a list of interesting & useful & fun things to do in the morning… As to motivate me to actually get up & not just wake up & fall asleep again!! (yes, sleeping & fun dreaming seems to be the most fascinating part of the day these days OoO)

/note to self: must not let a successful day get in the way of sticking to the routine in the evening!! however, did get teeth brushed before turning off the PC… here’s a habit to be cultivated…!!/
(Damn, those men & profiles on PlentyofFish sure have distracted me!!;) LOL!)

Maybe it would be good to print out the routine & have it handy?;))

- off with the duvet!! when the alarm rings
/- EFT if necessary or inspired to do so…/
- back exercises
- bathroom: 3 songs, grooming hair, put up hair or plait it
- food: flax! + reading (prepare ahead? Wednesdays covered!)

- help fix lunch…

- PC/guitar

Evening:
10pm: 43things
teeth washed
(back exercises?+yoga)
12pm: target sleep
temporary target: 12 pm computer off
journalling/de-neg./to-do (+music?) (+TAT or ‘invisible EFT’/Sedona method if necessary…)
(inspirational quotes? / write a ‘go-to-sleep’ song…?/ theme song: ‘Tomorrow’...)
1am: lights off, sleeping, feeling happy (?) (<means, with a good to-do list!!)
9am: alarm off

We’ll see how that goes!!



Okay 21 months ago

So today it was: off with the duvet! /immediateley the alarm rings – GO me!!/
- my morning back exercises (YAY!! without falling asleep!!)see above
- singing in the bathroom three favourite songs / or, ones I most related with…one does feel cheerful after being sung love songs to, even if just by oneself!!/grin/

Also told Sis I’m just not ‘thinkable’ in the morning (even if ‘morning is interpreted very generously here!’ – i.e. 1 hour after getting up, at least, regardless of time!!) Necessity of weekly menu brought up again!! /It’s good to be on ‘self-pilot!/

- reading something interesting (or potentialy uplifting with breakfast: newest magazines, trashy news – Oscars & such, music industry or show biz, no murder or gore!!, or inspiring articles come to mind. Even bank notices work – if cheerful/neutral..)
- & eating ground flax on my breakfast (GO omega 3 & 6!!)
what will I do in near future without sauerkraut though? must plan breakfasts somewhat!

I am capable of basic tasks after breakfast though.. Like getting lunch ready & such.. Peeling potatoes…

I rewarded myself with PC time then though if Sis is by the PC I got by pretty okay with just banging songs on the guitar & practising them…

TO DO:
Ideally, I would add grooming my hair & plaiting it or putting it up in the ‘bathroom’ stage (while singing songs perhaps?) so I have hands free for other stuff later, & I don’t have to use soap more than absolutely necessary… /I know this is probably more than you ever wanted to know, but this is for my memory too!!)

Also, to think more about my evening routine, especially in terms of time & starting to go to bed, & such… I wound up in bed at 5 am yesterday & that is definitely too late!! The factory starts howling then already!!
/I did some journalling to fix my headache/neck-ache, & it took a while…/
So my guess would be: 43things not later than 12 – this would mean 11pm or 10pm ideally… Then journalling… /Or journalling before?/ But sometimes forum or online stuff distresses me & I need journalling after it… So: PC off, & then journalling… We’ll see how it goes…
Target 43things at 10pm, so I have plenty time to do it later… Target PC off at 12 – like Cindarella!! (Ideally, it would be ‘sleep time’ at 12 – but I’m not that advanced yet!! I assume I’d just sleep until 11am & then my back would hurt!! )
And what is there to do at 8am in the morning? It’s cold at 8am in the morning!! Though maybe I could branch out & do ‘one thing that terrifies me’ right in the morning already?! (Sis did say they are beautiful mornings out there…) Lucky those who are naturally early birds!!

Only, must stop going to 43things at or after 1.30am!!! OoOOO

That might make my morning routine easier too…

& Journal on what’s stopping me from having a beautiful morning routine… (mainly my Dad, or Sis with pushing my buttons when I’m in non-functioning mode… I wish I could hang a sign around my neck: ‘Don’t speak to me, I’m only 1/2-alive!’ Or earplugs? (Though they may get slightly resentful if I use ‘em near people..)
Can’t really see a way round this, as long as I’m still here.. Though rising – & eating – earlier was slightly helpful too.. But again, I’m still slightly furious at Dad & couldn’t be all lovey-dovey…)
hmm.. Maybe a great big round of EFT would help…? will try tomorrow.. hopefully I’ll remember!!



Okay... 22 months ago

So I totally got inspired to do this after reading RDonner’s Beautiful Morning Routine…

I had thought about it before, & did some steps now & then, but nothing really consistent…

Nutrition makes a big difference. I live next to a factory & the buzzing used to drive me crazy… (started at 6 am, lasted till 10om mostly, on weekdays & some Saturdays..) Now that I eat more beans & rice (& the weather is better) the noise doesn’t bother me so much..

So 1)eat beans (Magnesium!) the day before… (not eating beans for 1 or 2 days really made a big difference…)
2) have the place orderly (this is of big help too!!)

3) make yourself smile – I will try for this one, can’t seem to promise if it’ll work or if I manage to! ;) /I’ve been usually really grumpy in the morning but I’d like to change that! – NO green tea or coffeee or such, just natural me & healthy food!! Yes, wholewheat rice, beans & sauerkraut wake me up too!!;)
To look for more healthy recipes that might be of use… (& pre-prepare food..)

NOT SURE HOW TO DO THIS: maybe have something silly & smile-worthy near the bed? But what? (A silly card or something…?)

4) do EFT/TAT in the morning & end up with an inspiring song – I actually did this a few times so far & it worked well.. If the song was inspirational/strong enough, I would hum it all the way to breakfast & later…
(Do it for max 10 or 15 minutes maybe – don’t want to do it for too long… & I could make it a routine to do TAT in the evening… – use extremely silly songs with EFT, so it will make you giggle…;)
Maybe I can make a list of songs & concerns… ‘Snowflake’ works well for environmental concerns/feeling powerless & ‘just one person’ in the world, being able to do ‘nothing’...

5) uncover at the right time – too hot >> may cause depression or such… (& yes I love my hot duvet, but some tough love may be needed!!;))

IDEALLY I’d work in some kind of stretching routine, or back exercises again… (Morning & evening… It was very good for my back… & I slept well..)

I will also write down ‘reasons not to be happy in the morning’ & brainstorm around them… (or do EFT on!) Maybe I’ll get some good ideas!!!!
