Things have been going great this past week. I have been keeping up with my diet. I am eating anywhere between 1500-1700 a day. I walk at the local highschool track. Today I did 6 laps and actually ran one of them. I ran 1/2 of a lap the other day. I am definately working hard on this. I am determined to lose the weight this time. I am tired of all this extra weight. I am ready to be healthy and hot in my 20s. I can’t wait to walk tomorrow.
www.fifteenandcounting.webs.com This is the new site I started a couple months ago. It is just a place to help inspire others and track my progress. I can’t wait until we have lots of members so we can share our tips.
Have a great week everyone!

Not too bad.

I have been eating well and walking lately. I have found a place to walk when I am visiting family in the country. They have a great track at the highschool. I started walking last night an went again this morning with my brother. I will go again this evening. I have been eating healthy, avoiding starches for the most part. Usually, bread, crackers, chips, etc. are my go to snacks, so it has been hard. I am also trying to limit cheese. That is another one of my dieting downfalls. Overall, I have been feeling pretty great. I can’t wait to check my progress on Sunday! Have a great weekend everyone!

New begining
Ok, so I have been on 43things with this goal for a while and I’ve gotta say.. I have not succeeded. I am not giving up, though. Actually, I am trying new approaches. I am going to get healthy. I am going to lose 150lbs or more. I need to acheive this goal.
I printed out an application for The Biggest Loser today, but decided that I had a plan that was more my style. I will lose weight publicly on my own. I signed up for my own site www.fifteenandcounting.webs.com . I will be posting on it sort of like I do here, but more often. I have a forum section where people can discuss, you can be a member on the site and see pictures(which I have yet to upload.. maybe this week. If enough people check it out, I will get my own domain.
I really think this is a great way to put that little extra pressure that I need to motivate myself. It will also let me help others which is something that I really enjoy doing.
Everything that I put out there will be completely honest. If I go out and eat 5 plates at a buffet, you will know. If I run a marathon, you will know. Please let others know if they are on the same page. I will try my best to make this a great resource for others. Hopefully we can make this something incredible while bettering ourselves as well.

minor setbacks
So…, it’s been a while since I posted on here. I went through a pretty rough patch in the past few months, and pretty much just ate what I wanted, when I wanted. Not to say I went crazy, but I never said no to pizza or brownies.. we’ll just leave it at that. I was worried about some health issues so I stopped working out over the past few months and want to begin again. I do have major heel issues and it hurts to stand/walk for too long. It is from an injury earlier in the year. Needless to say, I am lucky that holiday food remorse hit early. I DID eat a plate and a half of food today for Thanksgiving, but before the holiday I made a plan. I am going to try to stick on it for about 4-6 weeks. It may get boring, but I feel that I gave myself the opportunity to be a little more free with my diet and it didnt work. Time to ‘bring in the big guns’. I came up with about 14 meals and a standard breakfast as well as about 10 acceptable snacks/desserts/ I think that is perfectly reasonable to deal with until the end of the year. I know the holidays I will not have an alternate choice. We don’t do that at my house really. It will also be my birthday this month, so with all of that, the booze will be flowing a little more freely. Yes, one of my occasional caloric downfalls. I will compensate, though. I am going to go about the workout thing a bit different since I am still having heel pain. Usually I jump head first into moderate to advanced workout programs and burnout quick. I am taking it slow and begining with short walks, stretching, and band work. I will once again see this as a new opportunity to better myself. Things around me are changing rapidly. I want to make sure I can keep up.

Well, I have been unsuccessful losing weigh over the past few months. I was about 318 during the fall, but lost weight down to about 308 by December. My mom had injured herself in the beginning of December so she needed me to move to the country to live with my family so I could run the family business. Well, work is all well and good, but I didn’t really have people to hang out with most of he time so I would come home to food and television. I went up to my highest weight of 323-325. I just moved back to my best friends house in a suburban area this past week. My gym is here and so are most of my friends. I checked my weight yesterday and I am down to 315. I already feel the improvement. Hopefully I can keep it up. I won’t have quite as much time to be bored and I can go for long walks around the hilly areas in the neighborhood. Actually, I have a great 2.5 mile route that I can take. There is also a track a few blocks away. My car also broke down this weekend, so I may have to walk to work for a little until I can get the money together to fix it. Anyway, I’m babbling. Best wishes to all!

Hmm.. no progress so far. I gained 3 lb actually. I think it is water weight, though. I shouldn’t have missed as much cardio as I did the weeks before. My metabolism is low. Atleast I have been back at the gym. They are doing a program over the summer where you have to do 40 workouts between July 1 and September 8. I have 3 in so far. They must be a class, 1 hr raquetball or 45 mins cardio/weights. I will try to update more soon when I see a little progress. Have a great week everyone!

Still 309.. sigh. I was away from the gym for almost 2 weeks, but I had been remodeling a house and swimming. I also have been eating decent. I guess it is back to the gym for me. Tonight I did:
-20 mins bike
-25 mins elliptical
-17 mins bike (wanted to hit the 13 mi mark for the day with that since I was so close)
I had a kids meal from Arby’s, a vitamin water, a Sobe Lifewater, a regular water(Smartwater), and for dinner I had a chicken blt lean cuisine panini, about 1/2 cup of the tuna sensations with tomato n mozzarella, and a 1/3 c carrot slices. Dessert was a little frozen yogurt. Not too terrible.
