Well I think I’ve been doing pretty good at keeping up with my yoga sessions. I’ve held a few lunchtime yoga sessions at work and have also started doing yoga at home in the morning right after I wake up. It’s a bit of a struggle to get my body up so early and then to force it to stretch before it has had a chance to warm up is always a challenge. It takes almost until the end of my session to be able to stretch as far as I usually do during the afternoon or evening. But I find after I do morning yoga I have a ton of energy during the day. I don’t even need the coffee I’ve been desperately trying to give up! I think I will continue to try morning yoga as it seems to have great benefits and also helps me with one of my other goals. I do however plan on trying to keep my co-workers interested in the lunchtime yoga, not only for me but for them as well.

I have been talking for quite some time about starting up a lunchtime yoga session at work, and I am happy to say that I held my first session today! I had been talking with my boss and some fellow co-workers who wanted to do some sort of exercise during their lunchhour, and thought yoga would be the perfect activity. First of all you don’t sweat very much so you don’t have to rush to the shower when you’re done and it can be done inside (which is very important in Minnesota during the winter months). It is also a great way to reduce stress, which everyone can benefit from. I am planning on doing this daily, hopefully I can keep it up! Yeah!
I used to do this on a regular basis and it felt great, but as my life got busier it got harder and harder to keep up. I decided that I needed to start back up again and make it a regular weekly practice to reduce stress and feel healthier.
