Get a PhD

We’re getting ready to move to Syracuse, NY, so that I can start the PhD program in the fall. It’s a big scary relocation for me because I’ve never lived anywhere except Michigan, and we really don’t know anyone in New York state. It’s hard to say farewell to friends and family.

But the very exciting news is that we will get to buy a house in Syracuse; we are really excited about moving into our first home together. My husband is still looking for work in Syracuse, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that something will work out for him fairly quickly.

I accepted Syracuse University’s offer of admission and first-year fellowship to the IST PhD program! I’ll start classes there in 6 months to the day.
