It’s surprising how little exercise it takes to make you stiff and sore, if you aren’t used to it. :) It takes a few stretches to work out the kinks from having done a few stretches the day before. A little bit at a time, will build up!

I’m 57. I’ve been a bookworm with a deskjob all my life, and I have some chronic muscle pain & old injuries. By my doctor’s advice, I’ve been starting slow: walking a lot, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and doing what i call “heretic yoga”—slow stretches, slow movements, while focusing my attention on the body. That’s helped tone up my muscles and get some flexibility back, and now I can move pretty well without pain, so I’m ready for the next step.
