go back to college

After a day like today at work I think I need to get back to school and find something I actually can enjoy doing.

I signed up for some photography classes the other day. Granted they’re “continuing education classes” – but hey, I’m still going back. :P

One class starts tomorrow already – woo hoo! I’m excited!

Let’s see here… I use to want to head back to school to get a degree. But I never knew what area that degree should be in. Then I thought about just going back for my web certificates. No need for that now.

Do I still want to go back to school? Heck yeah! And with my new found love of photography I think I finally know what for.

But here’s the problem… and if anyone faced this challenge before some advice would be MUST appreciated.

The classes I want to take are only offered during the day. But I work full time and highly doubt they’ll let me off one or two days a week for class. What do I do? Keep in mind with a wedding come June 2008 I can’t really quit work and find something part time “just to get by”.

I still eventually want to get back to college but in the mean time I’m going to be taking some online classes for a few certificates. Yeah, they aren’t the same as getting a degree, but it’s a necessary step. Until I can figure out what I’d actually want to go back to college for, I need to take small steps. Try a few things out and see what catches my attention.
