I leave for okinawa in four days. I am unbelievably excited. I have learned a lot of japanese since I started studying at the begining of june, but I wish I had learned more.
The friend who i am visiting lives alone, even though she is only 16 (her mother recently died this last MArch and her father lives on mainland jAPAN). She had to leave the US early to go see her mother when she was sick. It was so sad when she left, i thought I would never see her again, at least not any time soon.
Now I have this awsome opportunity to go to Naha! If anyone has any comments about visiting or anything about naha or okinawa I would love to hear. THanks!
One of my good friends, who is an exchange student at my school, is Japanese. She lives in Naha, Okinawa. This summer I am going to visit her for a month and attend her school.I am using audio and books to help me learn Japanese, however the most effective way I have learned is through speaking in Japanese with Japanese friends. Unforunately all of my Japanese-speaking friends have left for the summer I am finding it hard to study Japanese. I only get ot speak it about once a week (over the phone). Any ideas?
