go to the winter olympics

I have submitted my application several weeks ago and am supposed to hear back from the committee in the next couple of weeks. Since I was quite late submitting I fear that not only the good tickets will have already sold out but also that it will be outrageously expensive. Fingers crossed!

The reason I love sports is not just because of the game but also because of the emotions; the drama, the rivalry, the disappointment and the joy. The winter olympics are all that – plus snow. It just doesn’t get any better than that. Every time I watched the event on tv, I wished I was there, in the crowd, cheering the athletes on. When I found out the next olympics are in Vancouver (2010), I decided to quit dreaming and make it happen. What could be better than watching the biggest sporting event in what is supposed to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world?

Ticket sales start in the fall of 2008. The countdown has begun.
