get a place of my own

I moved into my new place seven months ago – seven months of absolute freedom! Looking back I can only wonder what took me so long!

...and found a great place! I happened to see it online, went over there to check it out, absolutely loved it and immediately signed up for it. It was such a fluke that I can’t help but think it was fate and that this appartment was destined for me. It is only a rental so it is not really mine but since I pay the rent, I get to call it that. I painted the bedroom walls a lush olive green and the living room in a sand colour and one wall in a dark chocolate brown. Now all that is left is cleaning the place and I am ready to move in!

A couple of weeks ago, while carpooling with my co-worker, I was talking about my plans of moving out of my parents’ house and finding a place for myself. The problem is that I don’t know how to go about finding a suitable place: what is the right size or price for a one-person appartment? Luckily, my co-worker does know about this sort of stuff and even came up with a great idea: a friend of hers has recently bought an appartment which he has been renovating and is planning on renting out once it is done. Maybe I could check it out? So we contacted him and the place looks great – on paper, I haven’t seen it in person yet since they are still working on it. It should be done in a couple of weeks though and he promissed to invite me afterwards to see it for myself. To be continued for sure.
