OK, I got together with my dietrician and kicked myself back into gear. The goal: loosing a kilo per month up until march (my birthday). This goal should be reached in 3 to 4 months. Before my birthday I would love to have that scale back to a 2 digit nr instead of 3.

...get a crazy stomach flu and puke your guts out for a bit. Lost 2kg’s in a day. Probably mostly fluids though…
I just had one more kilo to go… and then december came and some private chaos and voila, back up a few. I accepted it for a while, because I wanted to enjoy the holidays and I’ve been doing really well dietwise (still 12 kilo down after all). But now I have to pick up the slack and get going again.
Goals for the coming months:
- drink more water
- note my intake in a journal
- take my 10am, 3pm and 5pm snacks on time
- go to the gym 2 times per week
- exercise daily for 30 minutes
One more kilo to go. Wow this has been a toughy. But, the good thing has been, that when I’m not focusing on the dieting, I stay at the same weight or even lose some.
Got back from holiday in Italy yesterday, lots of pizza, pasta and gelato. So with some trepidation I headed for my scale this morning. But, nice surprise, I’m down another 1,5 kilo! I did a lot of walking and a lot of lugging my big backpack around, so yay for that.
I have a deadline for october 14th to have lost that last 1,5 kilo. I didn’t think I’d make it, but now there is a definite option again. I should go on more vacations.
I’m a bit behind on schedule (schould have been 3 down by now not 2) but because of some stress at work things have been slightly slower. Still, happy with the 1 kilo loss. Also because the fancy scale at the dietist showed the fat % was down and the muscle % up again.
Had a bit of a low, which automatically means dieting wise it wasn’t going too well. Also allowed myself some slack after the 10 kg I already lost. Getting back on track now though and I’ve lost 11 kg in total so far.
Good news on three fronts:
1. I’ve noticed I can get away with a lot more with my new lifestyle. If I gain a few ounces and then tighten the reigns again, I lose them pretty fast too. Which to me is a good indication I’m doing this right.
2. Since I’ve started paying attention to getting in all the vitamins and other nutritional thingamagics, I’ve noticed my skin is softer and healthier.
3. I’m slowly starting to beat the whole emotional eating trip. I had a rough patch a few days back and stood in front of a vending machine, ready for chocolate, but I told myself to not let the stupid idiots who like making comments about me win and I went home chocolateless.
Anyway, I’m gonna keep on doing what I’m doing cause it’s working and will reach my goal of loosing this weight by October.
Last two months or so have been going very well dieting wise. I lost 2 to 3 kilo’s, which, since I still go out for dinner and a beer, is pretty good.
When I’ve lost 15 kg’s I’ll have lost the weight I put on during my burn out at the start of 2007. That was the start of 2 troubled years for me, so reaching this goal will be a big achievement.
