Maybe another inch or so of fat to go.. seeing a lot of stomach definition now. I’ve now lost around 24KG from my most overweight of October 2005.

Well.. over the past year i made drastic changes to get my lifestyle and body healthier. Being on the pub pool team meant lots of late nights drinking till the small hours, smoking like a trooper and missing work the next day. My weight and gut balooned to a staggeringly spherical 43” waist and 16+ stones. I was not happy with myself and quit smoking, pubs and crap food. I started lo-carbing, took up taekwondo and tried to get an hour or more of some sort of exercise in of an evening when i didn’t have training. I was just starting to see my stomach muscles again.. got 3 stone off and waist down to about 34”.
However, my last job in the runup to xmas was all 12 hour shifts on a slide and i couldnt get home in time for any sort of training. Add to that the cooked breakfasts i got stuck into and i put a couple of inches back on. So! This New Year the resolution is to actually get a 6 pack again. Bought myself a GPS watch so i can track my running stats and am doing the 6 miler daily now. TKD is on hold till i can try and get some more hip flexibility. £400 on private physio opinion and a few NHS docs werent able to shed much light on why my adductors are so tight so i’ll just see how much movement i get with running every day and intense stretches after. I’ve never kept a diary before but my god this is starting to feel like one!
