learn chinese

Turns out it’s easier for me to remember the characters by knowing the sum of its rather writing the character repeatedly now. I mean of course at first you need to actually write them, but repeated practice actually doesn’t enter the long term memory of the character. But it teaches you how to make the strokes in the character. Of course the different thing is if the radicals in the character are new to you. Then how are you suppose to derive meaning from them? Though personality, I feel like a 4 year old trying to learning how to read.

As I learn more and learn Chinese, I feel that I can enjoy the movies and songs that I’ve listening to even more. The more it I understand, the less foreign the language seems to me. Though, okay, so I’ve been listening to mandarin music and just listen to the Cantonese versions of the chinese movies. Two hours is really a long time to try to follow a movie by reading the subtitles only. Though, of course the chinese subtitles will match the mandarin and not the cantonese. Still I enjoy the added meaning to what I listen to. Subtitles can only give so much meaning and understanding of what is happening in the story. That’s why learning the language is so important. I must admit, subtitles are a nice learning tool. It actually provides incentive to learn the language too.

I’m ethnically Chinese and I thought it was the sadness thing that I didn’t know Chinese. So decided two years about to learn Chinese. Though, I’ve spend two years, I still have the vocabulary of a little kid that’s still learning his language. I also didn’t help by the fact that my parents speak in Cantonese and I could only learn Mandarin before studying abroad in Hong Kong, which I am doing now.

現在我說得國語有很多問題，但是我說得廣東話沒有太多問題。我廣東話有進步了，可是我覺得我廣東話應該北我廣東話好了。

我學了兩年得漢語的繁體字所以我不看簡體字。我喜歡繁體字北簡體字好多。對我簡體字有太多字沒簡化了。有太多問題。然後來到香港，我老師不用繁體字。他不會寫繁體字。可是我能寫繁體字。除了我用繁體字以外，有一個女生從來馬來西亞。可惜他不美。我現在應該做期他東西。aiye 我要笑哈。我用了一點廣東話的說東西可是最多我用在這是國語的方法得說的東西。情問，你可不可以明白我說東西？我知我有我很多問題。可是我做著我最好。
