Save up $1,000

I had gotten up to $750 or so, but then my lovely car decided to throw a fit and I’ve now spent $800 in the last two months on an EGR valve and a new ball joint. Awesome.

So I had to dip into this fund a little bit, and now I’m around the $550 mark. I had hoped that the entirety of my next paycheck would go into my fund, but alas, it is going to my credit card as I charged the latest car repair. So I’ll be stuck at $550 for a little while longer, but I do still have 5 paychecks coming, I think.

The goal is to save at least $1000 by the end of summer. I’m not making much in my current (though temporary) job; while I love it, I wish I could actually make money! With car problems, insurance costs, GAS, etc., it’s going to be tricky—this will be about a third of what I’m earning. Possible though!
