Isaac’s love for his little brother Felix makes me feel very warm and fuzzy inside. Okay, they don’t always get along, but on the whole they show a lot of affection for each other.
I think this is #15.
People are so friendly (on the whole). Strangers smile at me, give up their seat on the bus, braver ones come up and ask me how I am. Its how life should be.
We went to the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens Festival of Lights this evening. It was so beautiful. Pouring down with rain of course (Vancouver), which meant reflections everywhere.
13) Our son comes into bed with us most mornings. On a lucky day I’m in the middle with cuddles both sides. Sometimes he crawls into the middle though and I get pushed off towards the edge.
12) This bizarre food that I have only experienced here in Vancouver. For the second year running at Thanksgiving (they’re available for both Canadian and US) the company I work for bought us all a Turkey Steamroller. Which is basically a big wrap filled with turkey, mashed potato and stuffing, and smothered with gravy and cranberry sauce. Truly delicious.
11) After literally weeks of gray days and torrential rain (storm after storm rolling in off the pacific), the clouds broke today and an incredible rainbow appeared. The full arc, with a double visible. It was so vivid that you could see it touch the ground in the park outside of work. Then the clouds shifted again and the mountains appeared absolutely covered in snow.
