My dad and I went out to my grandparents’ house and had target practice for a couple of hours on Saturday. Our target was a yellow plastic trash can, and I shot the holy hell out of it. =^) We only took the .40 and .45 this time. I’m most comfortable with the .40. With the exception of a few wild shots as my arms got tired, I was pretty consistent with it, which made me happy. I hope we go again soon. I had a really good time.

I was ROTC in college and shot all kinds of weapons, but that was so long ago that I feel like I’m starting over from scratch. I don’t remember anything!
My dad took me out to my grandparents’ house in the country to shoot. He started me off with a .22 caliber revolver, and I hit 15 out of 16 shots, so he promoted me to the 9mm, which I didn’t like. The stock (?) was too short, and I had a hard time stablizing it. Then I shot a .40 caliber automatic and hit 17 out of my first 18. I also shot a .45, but it had a lot of recoil to it, so I didn’t do as well with it. Hopefully, we’re going to go out again soon. I want to learn how to clean the guns too.
