go to India

this trip morphed into something completely different! Instead of volunteering, some friends and I will be doing a two-part trip over the period of a year, in Africa, Asia, Australia, and Cen/South America!

This one will bring my bill with Projects Abroad to below $1000! If things go the way they’ve been, I should have my trip paid off by January/February, and then I just have to save up for my plane ticket.

Well at least I’m making progress on this goal. If only it weren’t so expensive!

I got my brochure from Project Abroad in the mail yesterday, it had all the information about all the different placements they have, costs, and the application forms. I can’t apply until I get a job (there’s a $295 application fee!) but I’m holding on to the forms so I can get this process started!

I’m applying for a job next week, and I plan on opening a savings account, so I can put some of every paycheck into it, and that way I won’t have to worry about spending it all. The savings account will be strictly off-limits, and I can just spend the money in my checking account. Hopefully by the time I graduate I’ll have enough to do the India/Thailand/Australia trip I want to do with www.projects-abroad.org.
