Damn, time sure does fly by when your having fun or in my case not so much fun.
I’m just now getting back to writing this script and let me tell you, my creative juices are really flowing. I’ve completed my treatment and over the last 3 years, managed to create main story and b stories and have more scenes then a Spike Joint. I just have to purchase script formatting software and I’m done!!
Continue to follow your desire and keep at it. Write a little at a time.
I once read a quote by Toni Morrison that said, “When you have nothing to write about, don’t write!” Wait til it comes naturally.

Creative juices are flowing. Got a few scenes ideas down and a storyline is starting to take place.

I got some more ideas out of my head onto paper but I kept jumping around with them. So I decided to use the basic approach of “who, what, where, when, why and how”. Last night I was doing this in my head and seem to have created a little more structure for the main character.
I’ve returned back to costuming. Next week I’ll be doing the wardore supervisor stuff for a short ( a showtime project). This is exactly what I need to get motivated enough to finish my script. My other goal is to turn my script into an ultra low budget feature film.

Well I finally sat down last week and forced myself start writing. At this point it’s just ideas that I’m getting out of ma head onto paper. Nothing really structured as of yet. But I’m doing it!!

This all started when I realized that costume designers get no respect when it comes to allocating funds for wardrobe. Somehow, producers seem to think we can pull costumes out of our asses and not need a budget for anything. So I decided to take control and start my own production company that would give me complete control. Needing to learn the how to’s; Write, Produce and Direct, real quick so I took Dov S-S-Simen’s 2 day crash course in filmmaking back in February of this year. I learned a lot and was pumped up to get started with my script. The problem was that I had too many ideas in my head and everything started blurring together. I swear I’ve got about 10 films in my head. I’ve been on a break and now I’m ready. Just need to sit down and organize my thoughts. I’m very unconventional when it comes to doing anything and writing a script is no different. Because I’m a trained costume designer, my storyline and characters are all based around wardrobe…........lol. Off to organize my head!
