Maybe? 2 weeks ago

Heidi stopped by last night and I sat out on their porch while I waited for Susan to pick me up to go to the Oceano Melodrama, which we know I love. Steven said that they were going to try and live this month, as if they have bought my house and have that mortgage payment.

Yippee! They are truly interested in my house.

I was going to do the same thing this month. See if I could live on what a new house mortgage payment would be. Then property taxes on my house and mom’s house (will that house ever be “my house”?) came due and the deductible for the work on the car that the flying sheet metal on the highway has caused and then there was that wee bit of a misclick on my part where I paid my credit card in full…...twice!

Steven also mentioned they both get their step increases next month, which would help make up for their furlough days a bit.

It seems to me that then it is the holiday time and no one does much business at the holidays. I’m comfortable embracing that I’ll simply keep culling household goods from the boxes in the garage through the end of the year.

Will they or won't they...... 2 weeks ago

The people that really like my house brought their out of town parents over to look at my house today. I suspect I will know soon if they are interested or no longer interested in buying the house. =)

Two views this morning. 3 weeks ago

I have people come in and I tell them to look around the house and meet me in my garden when they are done. We sit in the garden and chat a bit. I ask them what they like about the house.

The eleven o’clock couple said “The shower”. They don’t like the house at all, really. If that is the best you can say about the house, this isn’t the house for you.

The ten o’clock couple, with a a son that will turn one at the end of the month were nice. When I asked them what they liked, they said “Everything!”

I hope they buy the house. They are qualified for a bit less than the asking price, but its close enough, really. They live in the apartment directly across from my house. Their front door looks at my front door. I think that’s a good thing. For the three months they have lived there they have been looking at my house, probably wishing they lived here instead of in that apartment.

Her name is Heidi too! Seems like destiny…...... stay tuned!

Gracious! 4 weeks ago

It would seem that all it takes for people to want to view my house is for me to make a Total Mess of it while I pack to be at a conference for a week. I now have two views coming Sunday morning. One at ten and one at eleven. That gives me tomorrow to fetch miss lily belle and them come home and be Cinderella. Unpack, do laundry, clean and spend good quality time with lily.

Hold good thoughts that the house actually sells!

Another view came by tonight 1 month ago

Totally not interested. Has five children and a wife. This house is way too small for that.

The city emailed me that they had heard from another interested person. Maybe I will hear from them when I get home from Tennessee

Holy Cow! =) 2 months ago

I “planted” Saint Joseph 4 evenings ago. Today someone contacted me to see the house. As I am out of town for the week they are coming on Sunday morning.

Their inquiry caused me to look at the city website of affordable homes. There are 6 available. Its down to me and 5 laurel creek properties. I am 3 bedrooms. Some, but I can’t remember how many, of the laruel creek homes are 2 bedrooms.

Go! Saint Joseph, Go!

"Planted" Joseph last eventide......... 2 months ago

I should have my house sold any day now. =)

Seeking a bit of Divine Intervetion from a Tradtion Hundreds of Years Old 2 months ago

The solemn tradition of burying St. Joseph in the earth began hundreds of years ago in Europe. During those times, an order of nuns prayed to St. Joseph (the patron saint of the family and household needs) when they needed more lands for convents. The Sisters were encouraged to bury their St. Joseph medals in the ground.

The medals evolved into statues, culminating with the complete “Underground Real Estate Agent” Kit. Today, thousands of homesellers and real estate agents nationwide continue this successful tradition; looking for a little divine intervention.

Be it fact or be it fiction, it’s worked more than once. The St. Joseph statue is buried upside down in the front yard with the feet pointing to heaven. Face the statue towards your home and let St. Joseph go to work selling your home! The location of the statue can vary, but most importantly you must possess strong faith and confidence in St. Joseph. After the home has sold, the St. Joseph plastic statue should be removed from the ground and given a place of honor in your new home.

Some days I think I need all the help I can get. Even though I have noticed that asking for help is very difficult for me.

it certainly seems........ 3 months ago

like someone would want this lovely home, doesn’t it?

This is what I'm thinking........... 3 months ago

Buyers should be beginning to make there move. Well, their offers at least. First time home buyers must have their escrows closed before December first to get whatever it is the government is giving them for stepping up and buying their first home as their little bit to help the economy.

With 30 day escrows really taking 6 weeks, people would have to have their offer accepted and in place by mid-October at the latest.

Zo, let’s all send the very best intentions out into the universe that MY buyers will make their offer soon. Very soon. August 1st would be nice. =) Hey! Isn’t that this Saturday? (laugh)
