I am a bit stumped on this.

I think I am going to have to make a weekday trip to San Diego. I need to figure out when this can happen.

The cemetery and I

finally got a hold of each other today. I guess I misunderstood. (I don’t think so. I think he dropped the ball.) When I asked for the status he said he was waiting for me to choose a stone colour. (This is so not where we were at.) Then he said he have a bigger sample made. I said no (I don’t want to throw money at this in a way that stalls things out and simply doesn’t make sense. The painting was bad on the small sample, it’s not going to be better on a bigger one.)

So, I am going to take this out of his hands and try to get the project taken care of myself. I found a place down near San Diego that may have the knowledge, skills and abilities. Unfortunately, they are not open on weekends, so it means taking time off to make the trip. I kinda used all that for The Great American Road Trip. so I’ll see what I can do over the internet with them.

It would be wonderful if this was finished this year.

I didn't hear back from the cemetary

They may be scare until next week. I’ll give it some time and call midweek next week.

I left a message at

the cemetery yesterday.

Rose Petal Art 2012

of love, honour and remembrance.

Miss you crazy, love you true.

The two painted stone samples came in

Naturally, I chose a third stone that wasn’t one of the samples.

We had a long, fierce discussion about the quality of painting, but really, I think a tiny bit of the issue might have been the type of stone and that should be solved with the stone I chose.

I am concerned about their painting ability.

He is going to have a conversation with them, order a new sample that is maybe a complete miniature. (as you can tell, for some things, in life and death, money is of no consequence.) I said if I needed to buy that, I would be happy to put it in my garden.

It seems like this goal may be gasp finished this year.

The Actor's Dad

is in ICU. He will die tomorrowish.

My heart breaks again.

A trip to the cemetery today

to turn in the colouring. The next step is that the stonecutters will make a sample of coloruings on small thinner granite and marble pieces so I can see how it translates to the two different colour backgrounds I am considering. One is a solid black and the other is sierra white, which is a white, mottled with black specks.

I like that I am back in a waiting stage. It lets me work on other things.

I love that the cemetery has a bird feeder in this tree.

This morning I finished

the second (duplicate) colouring. I called the cemetery and have an appointment to turn it in tomorrow.

I did my best

I think I can let it go
to the stone cutters.

Honestly? I don’t know if i trust our middle man, so it could still be a long journey between here and there.

I know Mum is watching over this. She has to be. I couldn’t do this without her.

Plus, the timing is a bit remarkable.
