Seriously? I tore up the wee back yard

and then decided to sell my house instead. =)

Yep. Totally going to let the new owners finish the backyard. I’ve given them a really good start.

I totally don't know what to do

Do I send the money to fix and finish my back yard or not do that at all and save the money for my down payment of a new house.

Doing anything to the backyard won’t change the price my house sells for by a single penny. It will just make it nicer for miss lily belle and I to live here. and I won’t have to battle winter weeds, like I will if I don’t do anything.

We could find a house straightaway and move in a few months…. or we could wait for those new homes being build and it could be a couple of years before we move.

I got the adjusted estimate for the back yard

I’m waiting, of course, to see if I buy That House or if I will be in this one long enough to want to do the backyard now.

I think the estimate is high.

both small fences are out of the back yard

the girl with the unruly hair (aka neighbors honeysuckle) has been cut back to their side of the fence.

The honeysuckle in the front yard has been cut down off one column and it opens the house up so much I’m going to get out there and cut back the one on the other column.

or maybe not...

maybe just sell the house without spending so much on the back yard and say it’s a creators canvas in this bargain priced house!

The gigantic chocolate palm

was dug out of the back garden bed and move to a big empty spot in the front yard bed today.

I pruned back the rose bush. NO IDEA if I’m doing that “right”.

The raised half moon was taken down and the tiny rocks that covered it moved.

a tiger lily was repositioned in the front bed

I planted bulbs, which may not have survived waiting for me to plant them.

My wallet is lighter, but I never could have done the stuff I paid to have done myself. I have hacked away time and time again at that bamboo. It was heart lifting to come home and like WOW, it was simply gone.

still more in the front and back yards, but it’s moving forward.

Holy Moly

A co-worker’s son posted he’d do outdoor work for donations. I’ve known him a long time so I thought I’d help him out. HA!

He is so helping ME out!

That bamboo is totally gone! The falling apart fence totally gone! Other stuff done!

He’s coming back today to do more stuff. Hooray!

That guy is coming on Wednesday

to re-talk about the yard. Now that I think I can move… really talking about the minimum make it look nice here. And it WILL look really nice!

I got a crazy high bid

so I emailed back the minimum I need done.
Not sure I can afford this person.

Not sure what to do next….

I had a second person come look at the yard

I liked their ideas, but have yet to get a real bid back. Today he sent a photograph of an arbor with a hammock in it, but no real bid.
I’m a bit disappointed.
