and lymph node swollen. intestine draining into it, or some such ickiness. appetite lost.
medicine begun again, but for one month the injection one, where i don’t have to nightly torment miss lily belle.
overnight, after the injection, she had a full appetite and was instantly happier. i love that. it is a pity the injection medicine can tilt a cat thinking of being diabetic to being a diabetic. it means that i only have a one month reprieve until i am in charge of giving medicine again. i don’t mind the actual giving of medicine. i am just sad that it changes our relationship. i have so few really good relationships in life nowadays.

but at least the garage was the place it wasn’t kept down.

In one week Miss Lily Belle has gained 5 ounces! Dance of Joy!
Now it seems that I may be able to do the vitamin B injections at home by myself instead of having dr. appointments for her. That is way better than that other medicine.
So, if I am diligent about feeding her constantly, I should be able to keep her weight up. I may need to get a baby scale, like they have, so I can keep an eye on this whole weight thing.

All that eating meant poor miss lily belle didn’t keep it all in her tummy. =/
We try again today.

I left LOTS of food for while I was at work… knowing the less desired flavoured would get pitched out when I came home.
I know every time I go into the kitchen she will too. And when she does she will eat something. Right then. I didn’t work even one minute late. I came home and gave her food. And all evening long I made LOTS of trips into the kitchen tonight! And did something in there until she was done eating and left. I never left before she did. Yippee me!
I have left LOTS of food left for her nocturnal eating before I go to bed tonight.
Miss Lily Belle is GOING to gain those dang six ounces back, and if not all this week at least enough that the vet doesn’t think “Bad Mother” until our visit the next week to see if she has gained weight. (and she will have. we soooooooooooo cannot go back to nightly liquid medicines. I will have a nervous breakdown, I’m sure of it.)

Miss Lily Belle had a doctor’s appointment today. She has lost 6 ounces in the last month. He’s talking about her going back on daily medicine again. arggggggggggggh!
I took all the blame. I’ve been out of town nearly half of the last three weeks. Working nearly every weeknight late and not getting home until 7. Sometimes working on the weekend. It makes me exhausted and Cinderella is not doing chores in any routine sort of way when she gets home. Which means that feeding lily isn’t on schedule. She isn’t getting as much food as normal I suspect. I think I forget to put more down at bedtime because it seems like we’ve barely had dinner and we are going to bed.
I left work “early” (at 6. won’t we be glad when this whole data gathering for job cuts is over!) and stopped and emptied the store of lily belle food. I gave lily belle a stern talking to about gaining weight between now and her appointment on Monday. Sigh….

In spite of her tummy tossing up her food on a rather regular basis she still gained 2 ounces between her last doctor’s appointment and the one this morning! Yippee! Miss Lily Belle!
8 pounds, 5 ounces. I don’t mind how often your tummy tosses up your food, as long as your weight stays high.

to miss lily belle’s breakfast mostly left on the floor of the garage. Some in the hallway and a tiny bit by her scratching rope. =/ Poor baby kitty.
She was so hungry for dinner! She ate lots and kept it down.
I hope her weight is still good when she has her next appointment. I hope her weight isn’t on a slow slide downward since coming off the medication. We so don’t want to go on that again.

and her tummy rumble all evening after that. It’s like the hiccups. I guess that last time, when I picked her up to take her to the sink didn’t scare this out of her after all. =/
