Embrace The Day 2012

I have to have one of my wisdom teeth taken out? It “may” have moved and fractured my molar? You won’t really know until you cut away my gum and look at the back of the “really deep root” of my molar? What? Did you just say you’re going to fill the wisdom tooth spot with dead people’s bone’s to graft to mine?

I opened ALL the remaining gifts I had for when I am just TOO SAD.
I hung 2 prisms in the window where I think they should catch light and throw rainbows
I ordered my groupon from frame the alphabet (♥trust♥)
I hung a picture
I repaired the venitian glass necklace my nephew gave me at Christmas. (twice, because the first time didn’t take.)
Donated a wee bit to an adventure
I’m baking (not too bad tasting) store bought lasagna for the bowling awards pot luck
I’m making my fabulous garlic + 5 italian bread for the bowling awards pot luck

I miss my Mom more.
Today is one of them.

10. ring up the actor about visiting in april
11. give lily belle attention every time she requests it
12. have breakfast
13. run the dishwasher

15. refused microwave with damaged door.
16. called store and cancelled order after considering all that had transpired with full order. sigh…
17. drove to store to get refunded

19. drove to big box store and ordered same microwave to be delivered and installed in only four days for $100 less. i try to support the local little guys but….

6. I decided to have less things live on the kitchen counter and found homes in cupboards and drawers for them.
7. I boxed up donations for The Oasis Sanctuary auction, and put in Doc and Brutus’ toys so I can mail them.
8. Put away one load of folded clothes.
9. Have one load of clothes in the wash.
10. Took a shower.
11. Stripped the bed.
12. Cleaned the cabinet under the kitchen sink and reassembled the slide out basket
13. Toured my future help me around the house guy around and visited.
14. Fed lily belle (twice)
15. Confirmed I would still go out to dinner with The Surfer.
16. Wondered if this was going to be a dreadful evening.
17. Updated my budget spreadsheet.
18. told lily belle I was reducing her medicine allotment a bit in the budget since she was no longer on medication and requested she not get sick much more this year. Because of that, I was putting a new set of feather in her budget.
19. Had lunch
20. Had a gabfest with college girlfriend about Colton on Survivor
21. Worked on getting the hard water stains out of the glass teapot
22. Sprayed weeds in in front of the garden door and gate. May as well get another start on being able to see the earth again. Then once I can I will be highly motivated to get someone over here straight away to put in the solution to that walkway, ending my battle with this area forever more.
23. Another load of clothes in to the washing machine and one into the dryer.
24. Hung white gauzy fabric I had between entry area column and living room to hide the thousand cords for the television, tivo, dvd, etc. that make me sad every time I see how messy the cords make everything look.
25. Held or petted miss lily belle every time she demanded it until she purred or jumped down.
26. Put the penal code in the car trunk so I will stop look at it and will remember to take it to The Holder of Hands
27. Put the scarf I bought my nearly blind friend in the trunk of the car so I will remember to give it to him next time I night see him.
28. Put The Spark on the passenger seat in the car so I remember to give it to my CEO on Monday.
28. Wrapped the handpainted bedside carafe and glass to take to C. at bowling for the Altrusa Christmas trees this year. Put it in the car so I don’t forget it!
29. Flirted on a dating website (gasp)
30. Folded another load of clothes
31. Put another load of clothes in the wash
32. Putting another load of clothes away
33, Getting ready to go to dinner.
34. Hoping dinner is “fun” and promising I will head out the door doing my best to not wince if things don’t go well. Simply be my best miss manners so one would never know I even noticed.

I WD40-ed the garage door and got as much of the screeeeeeeeching out as I could. This will make miss lily belle much happier every time I come and go.

one you would traditionally write a To Do list on. Instead, at the top, it said Accomplishments List.

I like that.

I want to accomplish things so I can put them on the list!

so today I’ve accomplished….

1. wrapped gifts brought back from the holidays for friends.
2. put the list bit of Christmas up and out in the garage
3. finished two loads of laundry
4. confirmed to first dates for this week. (!)
5. bagged up all the tiny little rocks from the base of the fireplace gas line so I don’t pay for the time it would take the fireplave guy to do it.
6. rented a car for the hawaii trip
7. took out trash
8. had a gabfest with girlfriend.
9. ate waffles just so i could have the maple syrup i brought home from quebec. =)

I guess i have to go to the winter festival today!
