have a cat

After a week and half of ‘having’ a cat, we finally took her to the humane society today. We weren’t really in a position to adopt her for keeps, and she needed some medical attention. I hope she finds a good home.

As soon as I have a house, I will be headed to the animal shelter to pick up a stray, not to drop one off.

A cat adopted me. Last night I saw her peering in my patio door, and now she has taken up residence there.

She is seemingly a stray, so we are feeding her and made a little bed for her outside. It’s really a great situation for me because I get to have a nice cat but I don’t have to pay a pet deposit or deal with it being inside or bother with a litter box. All the benefits with no commitment.

It’s not the best world for her, but I hope I can make it better. She’s a sweetie.

It’s so hard to wait. I agreed to wait a year until we are closer to being out of the apartment. My goal is to adopt some sassy calico from the local shelter.
