participate in a protest

I looked around online for upcoming Austin protests, and there just isn’t much going on right now. Plus it will have to be something that I really am passionate about, and those topics aren’t usually those of protestors.
I’m thinking my best chance will be a protest against the government taking private property via imminent domain or some other such event. People don’t often protest about tax increases, after all. :) Maybe there will be more action closer to elections.

I think it’s so important to support causes that you believe in, and to be more than apathetic when it comes to political issues. I’m not saying a protest is the best way to go about this, but it would be fun to do this once. I wouldn’t want to participate in a protest that causes harm or one that is a great inconvenience to others, however. It’s about spreading a message, not about being a nuisance to other citizens.
