how young is young?

I want to be financially able to do this, whether I not I act on it or not. I don’t want to be too old to enjoy things when I finally have the money to travel the world. My husband has said that he might not want to retire early because he enjoys work so much. That’s fine, but I’d like him to be ABLE to, plus things might change.
I’ve been toying with the idea of part time work as well. It all depends on how much freetime and time off I will need to pursue the things I love. And I wonder how many of my 43 goals will still remain unaccomplished by middle age.
There’s no way we’ll be in retirement shape by 30, or probably even 40. But, perhaps by 45. That’s young, I think.
