I set myself a goal last month to lose weight but, of course, nothing happened. I realised that losing weight is an outcome and my actual goal should have been to either eat less or exercise more. As I can’t really find the time to fit in an exercise regime (plus there’s something a bit crazy about burning lots of calories to justify consuming lots more calories) and the global food shortage poses an ethical dilemma to over-eating, my new goal is just to eat less.
I’m going to try to restrict myself to eating only when I’m hungry and to limit portion sizes.
To stop myself becoming run-down, I’ll make an exception for fruit and vegetables and try to eat them whenever possible.
