go to the Olympics

This was awesome. Totally worth the extra money and crowds it took to visit London in 2012. It was pretty much impossible to get to tickets to most events, but we got to see the women’s 10K swim in Hyde Park. Outstanding!

We’ve booked our stay, except for the 2 nights in Cardiff. Once that gets booked, its time to start thinking about what I’ll pack.

The London Olympics are less than 100 days away. The flight has been booked. The rental car has been reserved. The itinerary needs some finishing touches. But we haven’t booked our hotel yet. I mean, I guess we could stay with my boyfriend’s parents, but that isn’t ideal.
That should be happening this weekend. Three months from now I will be packing my bags and getting ready to board a plane!

I will most certainly be going to the next Olympics.

Let me be clear, this is as a spectator, not as an athlete. But all the same, once in a lifetime adventure, no? London 2012 is on the schedule, and the saving plan is in place. In just a few short months is will be time to start making reservations.

The next step is to choose any side trips and activities that we’d like to do when we’re in the UK.
