June June June

Over the weekend I went to my first wedding as an adult, and it was quite the eye opener I tell you.

I realized just how amazingly awesome my friend E is, and how happy and in love her and her fella are, and how they truly deserve each other. I’ve never felt so much joy for someone else in my life. Seeing this made me ponder my own relationship, and where its going. I don’t know if I can see us getting married in the immediate future anymore, though I once saw it so clearly. Still working on our relationship. We are happy, but can we ever be that happy?

Also flew down to San Diego on a plane completely by myself for the fist time. While it was a hellacious experience due to security and the clothes I chose to wear, it was awesome because for the first time I wasn’t scared to fly. The few times I flew last year involved tears galore. Some say dreams are a way of helping your brain and body work things out. All those dreams about being on crashing airplanes have, oddly enough, really really helped.

May May May

May was full of new and fulfilling experiences. Quite the month indeed!

April April April

Mid April I volunteered with a new to me organization here in SF called SF Green Connect. While I was a bit disappointed in the organization of the event, and what the city had a us doing (painting?!?), I am glad that I went and was able to meet other people that were out actually doing things, and not just thinking about doing things or saying they should be doing things. There are a lot of blogs and books, and pamphlets around about things you can do, or should do inside your home, but it’s hard for me to get ramped up about that, even if I am very happy that its happening. “Oh yeah Bob, you recycled 5 cans today! High Five!” Being out with others gives you that “I am on a team, working towards a common goal, humanity might not be on the fast track to hell in a hand basket quite yet, hooray!” feeling. I guess everyone else would call that camaraderie. I think everyone should go out into their neighborhoods and kick it up a notch every once in a while.

This event also provided me with the opportunity to leave feedback with SF Green Connect and my take on the whole situation, which is something I have never done before. I am the sort to usually keep opinions to myself when it comes to large entities, but I am glad that I gave my constructive 2 cents. I feel I had good points to make, and I felt more proactive.

a more detailed post about the whole ordeal can be found on my blog, DF!
