donate hair to Locks of Love

I found out that my bottom 3 inches still had high lights. I had them cut off before the holidays, so now I’m hoping for a spring-time launch of a new look. I went to a health expo last week and a spa had a special: 5 trip for different treatments for $47-including a HAIR CUT. So…I’m excited at the prospect of a more fashionalbly oriented person cutting my hair rather than just a “Hair-Cuttery” type place. Nothing against them, I’m just looking forward to a more detailed treatment. Plus, the bob is making a comeback. Maybe I’ll be in style for once! March/April is my goal. Wish me luck!

I started growing out my hair after I broke up with my boyfriend of three years. He always wanted me to have long hair and be skinnier. Well, I’ve done the one and am working on the other… :)

It’s been about 2 years now and it’s almost long enough. I got highlights last year before I decided to donate. From what I read, that seems to be okay. Somebody tell me if I’m wrong.

My mom’s best friend had a double mastectomy (sp?) last year and that’s when I decided to do something to show my support. She lost all of her hair, so I’m totally willing to lose mine if it helps somebody out. I’ll check back in in August as it will probably be long enought by then!

I’m too much of a scaredy-cat to cut it myself, so I’m looking for a place that will cut it off for free. Any ideas out there?
