stop judging people

so this one needs some work.
Tonight my boyfriend was explaining that some guy at his work found out this weekend that his gf is pregnant. I started ranting and raving, especially when I found out that they are 24 and have only been going out for seven months.
I know. It’s none of my business right? Sometimes I just feel bad for this kids…you know? They aren’t even planned…they are some afterthought…
As I was explaining the population crisis to my bf and how all these people having unplanned babies is a bad thing, he was like “I don’t get why you care.”

I don’t know why I care.

I told my bf that this is a great example of what ISN’T going to happen to me. But can’t I think this is an unfortunate situation without being a nut about it? :S

Does anyone have any ideas on how to work on this? I’m finding it really difficult…I just open my mouth and start spewing bile before I really think…any advice?!
