Learn to surf

I think I really expected my ad on craigslist to net zero results. Imagine my surprise when a guy who lives right by my job was interested in the massage-for-surf-lesson barter. Plus he used to teach surf lessons in Hawaii, so I’m sure he’s used to know-nothings floundering around like mad trying to surf. Still, I really don’t think I expected any takers cuz now I’m nervous about the whole thing, mainly about looking like a moron I think.

I’ve been looking online for lessons in the area, because I feel like I need some sort of introduction before I go flopping around like a fool. Lightbulb moment—decided to post on craigslist.com in the barter section: one professional massage for one surf lesson. This way, it’s relatively inexpensive and I can feel out the person in advance. We’ll see what happens.
