sing like no one's listening

Had to drive my boyfriend around cuz his car had a case of crapbrakes-itis. Sang the whole time. Hey, driver’s choice buddy. You don’t like it, you know how to walk ;). He said he wished i sang more :-D

I sing a lot. Whoa buddy, do I ever. I sing in the shower, I sing to my dogs, I sing to my fish and my lizard, I sing my to do lists for the day to myself. My personal favorite arena is the car. Crank that music baby, I belt it out like i was in a crowd of ten thouseand people and I want the lead singer to hear my voice, pick me out and pull me on stage like some crazy Courtney Cox- Bruce Sprinsteen moment (although I would probably have a coronary on the spot from such a public display of me-ness). When I get going, I look like a Muppet that came to life and, having found the hand has been removed from it’s ass, dances and sings and bops around like only a boneless plush puppet can do. I was in choir all through out school, I was in musicals, I like to sing and factual evidence shows that I do not in fact make people’s heads spontaneously explode when I do so. However, I can’t do it around other people. I sing in the car with my boyfriend or other people and I’m a teenytiny CindyLou Who voice. The thought of actually singing in public is making me nauseous right now. Can I just learn to own my actions, and maybe admit that they might be good from time to time?
