My manager has agree to pay for the cost of my Comptia voucher. After finding a pre-owned exam text online, I’ve already burned myself through six chapters. If everything goes my way I should have this goal completed by the end of May.

So I’ve been working at the same IT firm for the past three years. And during these three years my boss has pretty muched screwed me out of a pay raise, promotion or even a decent work schedule. He even went so far as to hire someone else, at a higher payscale, then offer me more wage or hours. So I’m finally fed up. I’ve been wanting to get my Comptia A+ certification for a year now. Next payroll I’ll bring this up to him.
The voucher needed for the certification costs around $180, which is pittance compared to what he owes me. So I’m going to gently push him into an ultimatum: Either pay for the certification or find someone else who’s willing to do HR, Customer Service, Tech Support, Technical Writing, Marketing AND IT recruiting for $12/hr.
