Thats my latest “Eat healthier” goal. I’m not eating sweets or items full of sugar..I did have a protein bar today but I have a ton and I’m not throwing them away. I’m going to do this for a couple weeks until my body isn’t craving desserts anymore..Then I’ll be cutting out as many items with sugar as possible…I can’t decide if I should have a cheat day or not..On one hand, it will keep me from binging but on the other hand, if sugar is like a drug, it’s better to keep as much out of my system as possible. We’ll see how this week goes, today is only my second day. If I do well, then maybe I’ll allow myself one cheat day and see how I respond. If I could cut out sweets, my diet would improve dramatically! I really hope I can do this.

I can do the whole eating less thing and have been..But the eating healthy and eating every 2-3 hours is so hard for me to do. I’m being really stupid. Yesterday I didn’t eat all day until 6:00 PM where I had probably about 1 1/2 Cups of chicken lo mein and that was what I ate for the day..and the day before I ate 2 oranges and 2 of those disgusting grandma’s brand cookies..Yeah, that’s good for my body. I don’t know, I’m going to really try to add more veggies and fruit and eat every 2-3 hours in small portions. I’m going to trader joes next weekend, maybe I’ll find some stuff there to help me w/ this goal..
I had a pretty good week..I went out to eat once, ate as healthy as possible (it was thai food) and just ate a really small portion of it but then the second time I went out to eat, I got a wrap, fries and a milkshake..I didn’t eat it all but it wasn’t a healthy meal..I did good for most of my other meals..My problem is having the right food in the house and eating small portions every 2-3 hours..I’m going grocery shopping today and am going to stock up on protein..Fun stuff.
But it is worth it in the end. I have stuck to my plans to deplete my glycogen stores, it’s my 2nd day in..I plan on adding a carb to my meal tonight. I had a hard time getting in enough calories yesterday since I just ate chicken and veggies..I probably only consumed around 800 calories and I worked out for over an hour. That’s not enough..So far today(it’s 12:47 PM here), I’ve probably eaten 25 calories maybe in carrots..uhg. I feel like crap too! But, it’s necessary for now..Like I said, I’ll eat a few carbs tonight when I go out for dinner. But I’m still going to try to be as healthy as possible and limit my simple carbs..I know I’ll feel great after my body adjusts.
I’m starting this thing tomorrow where you take a couple days to deplete your glycogen storage in your muscles to get your fat cells ready for burning. I’m psyched. I did the whole christmas baking thing this weekend and got the whole fudge and cookie thing out of my system..Now tomororow I will load up on chicken and carrots. Sounds good to me. I also have an hour and a half workout planned for tomorrow..No working out Wednesday since my energy will be so low and then Thursday, we’ll see if I still need to be depleted of if I can work out (hopefully I can work out).
I just can’t seem to get this one down..I’ve done OK, but not great..I need to be consuming a lot more protein and complex carbs than I am and a lot less simple carbs..I didn’t eat ONE vegetable yesterday..and then I tried to work out..what a joke, way too much acid for my muscles. I will do better today.
OK I’ve gotten so bad..I’m starting the whole bill phillips thing tomorrow..I need to get on track..When I eat healthy, I feel so much better and have a lot of energy..The last few days I’ve been eating horribly and been sooo moody and felt awful. We’ll see how it goes.
I don’t want to just eat healthier, I want to be healthier. I need to always remember my water bottle so I’m constantly taking in water throughout the day..Take a multivitamin…Keep working out 5-6 days a week..Change my diet so that I am prepared to work out for over an hour instead of forgetting to eat until 6 at night and then trying to work out. I probably should stop tanning but I’m not going to. I can have that bad habit..
