identify 100 things that make me happy (besides money)

Flowers are so beautiful….

I remember a particular situation where I had just gone to school and pottery was my first class. I was so impressed with what I was wearing that I asked to be excused to the bathroom just to look at myself. Yes, I do realize how bad that sounds. lol. But it’s true. I went to the locker room because it was close and it had a full length mirror. As I walked in I saw a girl I didn’t know sitting on the bench crying. I remember being surprised that life around her was going on like she didn’t exist there. So many people were around her changing and conversating I mean right next to her but ignoring her! I didn’t even consider the fact that I was a stranger. I walked right over and sat down next to her on the bench. I asked her what was the matter and she didn’t hesitate to tell me. I wasn’t shocked at all. I’ve always found it strange, but people open up to me so easily. I wonder if the eyes are trully the window to the soul because they trust me and they should, but I never understood how they knew I was trustworthy. Anyway, I quickly gave her a solution and some encouragement which I never know where the words come from but I always seem to know what to say. I had one hand resting on the bench as I started to get up and she put her hand on mine and smiled wet cheeks and all, and said “thank you”. I can’t really explain in words how that made me feel. I could tell she had a genuine appreciation for what I had said and her smile looked like it really came from the heart. My ability to help others through simple words is probably what I am known for by those closest to me. This is something that really makes me happy. Money doesn’t even come close.

There is no such thing as a sunset that isn’t beautiful. It can symbolize so many things. Well for me it can be romantic, tragic in it’s decline, and peaceful. Every sunset leaves me with a greater sense of optimism just knowing that it will always rise again. It’s beautiful, and spiritual and it does make me happy.
