Didn’t go yesterday or today. Yesterday I was too lazy and today I’m out of town and it’s rainy anyway.

Man…I just don’t feel like it today. I feel tired and also I am consumed with job hunting becauase I need one fast. slept in today, so I don’t want to waste any of the day’s productivity in the job hunting department of my life. I guess I’ll have to go Sunday. Nothing wrong with that. Holly’s gonna go with me Saturday. I hope she brings all her dogs: two Australian herding dogs, a Great Dane, and a Pit mix.
After I wrote about this earlier today, I layed down on the couch hmmmm. spell check says that layed isn’t a word… who says “I lay down on the couch??!?” when meaning it past tense?... Anyway….) I got really sleepy and then layed down in my bed and took a nap from 3 to 5:30. I really didn’t feel like hiking and it was later than my usual time to go, but I WENT ANYWAY!!! I hiked for an hour and a half, so I just need to add another half hour into my hiking for the rest of the week. I’m glad I followed through. I almost used the daylight excuse, but as the summer days are getting longer, I had plenty of light. I even could have done the two hours, but I just REALLY didn’t feel like it. I thought I was going at a drudging pace, but I made it to the spot that used to take me an hour in less than 45min. I notice today in a store window that my legs look leaner and sexier, so that’s nice. The dogs had a grand old time and the people on the path were very very friendly to us.
I have gone 8hrs (2hrs a day, 4 days per week) for the past two weeks. We hiked. The dogs love being in nature off leash. I had lost weight after the first three weeks of doing this, then I got a boyfriend and quit having a life outside of that for about two months and gained the twelve lbs back and neglected to walk the dogs. Poor doggies. Well then, I decided to claim my life again. It’s been two weeks of hiking and I don’t see really any difference. It’s hard for me to consider it a sucessful week of hiking unless I go all five days but some things got in the way these last two weeks. But 16hrs of hiking is still quite an accomplishment and I don’t know anyone else who can say they did that this month! It’s Tuesday and I didn’t go yesterday so that means I’m looking at hiking today through Saturday, with one day off and then starting again. I hope to go around 3 today but tomorrow I want to go around 9am. I hope to see some results soon.
Went for a little over an hour today. I haven’t been hiking for somewhere between three weeks and a month. I sortof got sucked in to spending too much time with my boyfriend and not focusing on my goals. I feel I am coming down with the cold he has so I felt pretty crappy while out there, but it was good to get out and do it again. I will be moving soon and I’ve decided to get an apartment next to the hiking trail. Thats how you make your goals happen- you tailor your life around them.
The 23rd was the 4th day, then I took my man on a 3hr hike on Saturday. So that was a success for the second week in a row! 5/5 days!!
Today is Thursday and it was the first time I took them on a hike. I became a little bit sidetracked due to falling in love- a great reason to get sidetracked!
But so today instead of two hours on the trail, we did three. And I will also do three tomorrow to make up for not going yesterday. Then I will to a two hour hike Saturday and Sunday. So even though that will only be hiking 4 days of the week, I will have still put in the same amount of hours by adding an extra hour for two of the days.
I just got back from a 2 hour hike with the girls. I really needed the time out in nature. I was stressing. I’m becoming addicted to these hikes, which is right where I want to be. I even found a pretty waterfall.
I don’t know….
feeling tired and unmotivated. It’s 3:30pm already. I would rather do this in the morning. I think I’ll skip today and go to bed early and go tomorrow morning, and then either Saturday or Sunday. I feel so much more positive about it when I’m part of the early crowd and the birds are all chirpy and the day is all new.
So last Saturday I still hiked even though I had a date. I just took him with me!
We were going to hike for two hours but we ended up hiking for more than 4 hours!! So I took the girls out for 1 to 2 hour walks/hikes 5/5 days this week!
Now today is Wednesday. I went for a two hour hike with them on Monday and on Tuesday even though I was exhausted because of my period.
I’m really proud of myself and I feel great. I am really enjoying the time in nature and watching the girls run and play and get to be full on doggies.
I probably won’t go today because school starts today and I want to focus on that.
School ended up getting out enough early for me to gather the doggies and go for an hour and a half low impact hike. I focused more on stretching this time and made it out of the forrest by dark- a success! So that’s 3/5 days this week. A great accomplishment by in itself!
I was feeling tired today, and it was cold, but I got out there and hiked with them for two hours. 4/5 is great!
