"a" novel

I think the verbage alone probably separates the real hardcore writers from everyone else. I automatically chose “finish a novel” when I realized that there were ten times as many people under “finish my novel”. But it’s certainly not the same thing. “My novel” doesn’t exist for me. I’ve got fifty of them inside of me and ten of them started.
And I’ve even got one first draft finished.
