Create some rules to live by like Leroy Jethro Gibbs

1. If someone pisses you off make sure you tell them why before you stop speaking to them.
2. Do not be afraid of your opinions – when we first met one of my best guy friends complained that I was not like his other friends in that I disagreed with him a lot. I will continue to do so. Not only is it fun he needs to learn fast that I am in fact not like his other friends I am unique
3. Do not ask for advice on money from the 17 year old working at the bank – go to someone who has actually made money.
4. Read everything before you sign it.
5. Do not be afraid to ask several questions on the same subject until you get an answer you can understand.
6. Better to ask for Forgiveness than Permission.
7. Never let anyone stop you from getting what you need.
8. The best way to keep a secret? Keep it to yourself. Second best? Tell one other person – if you must. There is no third best.
9. Never take anything for granted.
10. Always be specific when you lie.
11. When the job is done, walk away.
12. Never date a co-worker.
13. Don’t believe everything you’re told – double check.
14. Never screw over your partner or significant other.
15. Never let anyone manipulate you.
16. To get what you want it doesn’t hurt to be a little creative

18. When someone backs you into a corner don’t back off, bite back.
19. Write the movie YOU want to see not the movie you think others want to see.
